Tell us a little bit about yourself: your name, where you're from, your work and interests.
I’m Helena Postigo Matey, a jack-of-some-trades raised in Segovia, Spain who’s been based in London for 5 years working as a graphic designer. Alongside my design practice, I spend most of my time running, cycling (or doing any form of exercise really) and writing.
Which piece did you get, and when?
A set of two horseshoes clips meant to sit on the top of running trainers going through the shoe laces back in december 2025. I first used them the first day of 2026 doing a 26km run as a ritual to start the year.

How did you meet Tony Blanco?
Back in 2019, working in the same design studio as I stepped my toes into the industry.
Why did you choose this specific piece?
When I was a kid I used to ride horses and somehow they’ve always had some significance for me. The horse represents the duality I find within myself and my running: it can be free and wild; but it can also be tamed and disciplined. The latter is what the horseshoe represents: a commitment and loyalty to the sport.

Why do you wear it, or when do you wear it?
The pieces have been sitting in my Hoka's Speedgoats since December. After getting injured in January, I haven't been able to run for months, but hopefully they'll get covered in dirt soon.
