Tell us a little bit about yourself: your name, where you're from, your work and interests.
We are Lucía, Andrea and Marco, founders of An Audience of One, a design studio based in Madrid. Guided by a simple belief, *Take it personal. Make it personal.,* and with technology at our core, we create strategies, brands and digital experiences that leave a lasting impact. Our work is driven by a rare duality: an uncompromising dedication to our craft, while shaping every project around the identity, values and ambitions of the people we collaborate with.
Which piece did you get, and when?
A custom-made gold-plated brass signet ring, created to celebrate the first anniversary of An Audience of One. We commissioned it for our anniversary exhibition, held on June 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The event celebrated our industry, the creative process and the people who have been part of our journey. The ring became a physical representation of all of that. It speaks about us, our profession, and two collaborators who helped shape our identity: Javi Unknos, who designed our monogram, and Tony Blanco, who brought it into the physical world. During the exhibition, alongside our own work, we also showcased the work of collaborators like Tony Blanco. The ring became a symbol of the relationships, dedication and shared craftsmanship that have defined our first year.

How did you meet Tony Blanco?
Blanca and Marco met through the design industry, and since then we've had the privilege of watching Tony Blanco grow from close by. Collaborating always felt inevitable. We've long admired the care, dedication and craftsmanship behind every piece.
Why did you choose this specific piece?
We chose a signet ring because of everything it represents. Originally, signet rings were used to seal letters and documents, authenticating the identity of their owner. In many ways, they served as a personal signature long before signatures existed as we know them today. As a branding studio, we're constantly thinking about how identity takes shape. A signet ring is one of the earliest expressions of branding: a mark of authorship, identity, craftsmanship and continuity. Choosing one felt like the most natural way to materialise our own, creating an object that sits between heritage and contemporary design.

Why do you wear it, or when do you wear it?
Originally, the ring was conceived as an exhibition piece, first for our anniversary event and later as part of our studio. That's where it still lives today, but we'd all genuinely love to wear it in our everyday lives. It's become part of our identity, to the point where we often talk about making copies of this original ring for each of us.

Has it changed since you got it — has it aged, scratched, become something different?
Not really. It still looks exactly like it did on day one. What has changed is the place it occupies in our studio. It has become one of those objects that quietly tells a story. Everyone who visits ends up asking about it, and every time we tell that story, we're reminded not only of everything we've built, but also of the people who were there to celebrate it with us.

Is there anything you would like to say about it?
Creating an object like this almost felt like a romantic gesture. In an industry where so much of what we make exists only on screens, choosing to materialise an idea into something crafted by hand feels increasingly meaningful. It was an opportunity to give our own identity a physical form: something that can be held, displayed, passed on and, hopefully, acquire meaning over time.
